Privacy notice
Last updated 2026-10-26
Half Full Glass, MB, Lithuania, at Vytenio 15, Vilnius("we"), is responsible for your personal data on Falora. This notice says what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: hello@falora.xyz.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and photo from Google, and when you joined.
- What you tell us about your learning: your language, goals, level, pace and anything you add when you start.
- Your lessons: your conversations with each tutor (what you say and write, and what they reply), your study plans, your pronunciation scores, your end-of-lesson checks, and when you practised (for your minutes and progress over time).
- Your voice: when you speak, the recording is sent to be turned into text and to be scored. We keep the text and the scores, not the recording.
- Your plan: if you subscribe, its status and dates. Paddle holds your payment details.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie, and server logs of errors and requests, under a shortened account id, to keep Falora working and secure.
- How you use Falora: pages you visit, what you press, recordings of your screen while you use it (what you type is hidden), and errors you run into, through PostHog.
Why, and on what basis
- To give you your lessons, remember your progress and run your plan: this is needed to provide the service you signed up for.
- To keep Falora secure, fix problems and improve it: our legitimate interest in running a working, safe service.
- To meet legal duties, such as tax records (which Paddle keeps as merchant of record).
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us
These services handle your data for us, only for what is listed:
- Google: Signing you in. Google tells us your name, email address and photo.
- OpenRouter, and Google Gemini through it: Writing your tutor's replies and your lesson plans from your conversation, and turning your recordings into text.
- LangSmith (LangChain): Recording how your tutor arrives at each reply and lesson plan, to find and fix mistakes. This includes your conversation and the text of what you say, not your recordings.
- Microsoft Azure: Scoring your pronunciation from your recordings.
- ElevenLabs: Giving your tutor a voice. It receives the tutor's lines, not yours.
- Railway: Hosting our database, where your account and lessons are kept.
- Cloudflare: Hosting the app and delivering it to your browser.
- Paddle: Selling plans as merchant of record: payment, tax and invoices. Your card details go to Paddle, never to us.
- PostHog: Product analytics: which pages you visit and what you press, recordings of your screen while you use Falora (with what you type hidden), and errors, linked to your account once you sign in. Not your recordings or what you say to your tutor.
Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Where they do, it is under the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, answers and lessons for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, they are deleted from our database straight away. Starting over with a tutor deletes what that tutor held about you. A sign-in ends after 30 days without use.
Your rights
You can:
- get a copy of your data, with Download your data on your profile;
- delete your account, or what one tutor holds about you, on your profile;
- correct what you told us about your learning on your profile (your name and photo come from Google, and change there);
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your data, or ask anything else about it, by writing to hello@falora.xyz.
You can also complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) (vdai.lrv.lt), or to the data protection authority where you live.
Cookies and browser storage
- falora_session: keeps you signed in. Needed for Falora to work.
- Sign-in cookies: short-lived, used only while Google signs you in, and to carry your answers through it (for up to an hour).
- Browser storage: remembers your place in the questions when you start, and settings such as sound.
- PostHog:stores an id in your browser so your visits are counted as one person's, and tied to your account once you sign in.
Children
Falora is for people aged 16 and over.
